Working as a subconsultant to the architectural firm, Boomerang Design, CES served as the lead civil engineering design firm throughout the planning, design and construction phases for a new, LEED certified, 3-bay, 12,500 square foot fire station located in the City of Charlotte’s Tryon Hills neighborhood. CES was responsible for all site related civil design services including parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, water lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drainage infrastructure including a dry detention basin, trash and recycling enclosure, fuel pump, generator and truck wash area. The site design accommodated several energy efficient features such as electric vehicle parking spaces, solar panel pad and geothermal wells. CES provided services including sketch plan, construction document preparation, erosion control design, preparation of site specifications and construction administration.
